About Me & Birthlight

My path to yoga began in London in 1995, after many years of classical and contemporary dance training. On the yoga mat I discovered a stillness I had not found in dance: a sense of presence, inner quiet, and being deeply held.

After the death of my mother in 1997, my life changed direction. I became increasingly drawn to yoga, not only as a practice, but as a way of supporting people through change, transition, and healing.

In 2003, I completed my yoga teacher training in Australia. Soon after, I trained in perinatal yoga with Birthlight UK, founded by Françoise Barbira Freedman. This was where my work began to take shape: bringing together movement, breath, awareness, and care for women during pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood.

Since 2004, I have been teaching pregnancy and postnatal yoga in Zürich. Over the years, Birthlight Zürich has grown and changed, but the heart of the work has remained the same: personal attention and gentle, knowledgeable support for women through fertility, pregnancy, birth, motherhood, and beyond.

Simple, Safe, Attentive

Every class I teach is shaped by one simple idea: small groups, real attention, genuine care. I want every woman who comes through the door to feel safe, seen and accepted — at whatever stage she is in.

From Birthlight yoga I take the joy of simply being. Simple, safe movements, micro-movements, sound and stillness.
